About Me

Evolving consumer preferences and behaviors are continuously keeping brands on their toes, but one thing remains the same: a marketing strategy can make or break a great product. A leading marketer must come up with original approaches to make a brand stand out from the pack and reach attentive audiences. I have a long-standing passion for exploring cutting-edge avenues for storytelling as well as using traditional channels in creative, new ways. Ask me how I can combine creativity, ambition and attention to detail to invigorate your marketing and public relations strategy.

Experience

Designing and coding responsive, mobile-first websites

I proudly hand-coded this website from scratch using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP. Built on the framework of flexboxes and utilizing media queries, it scales to screens of any size and especially shines on mobile. I customized the site to be even more interactive using jQuery plugins supporting smooth-scrolling and accordion-style headings.

Leading design of mobile game downloaded over 100k times

In 2014, I collaborated with a fellow developer to create the app Avoider, a free endless flyer game for Windows Phone. I led the design aspect of the project, creating the layout, in-game graphics, and commmisioning third-party artists for the character and background drawings. Since its release, it was played by more than 100,000 players in over 120 countries.

Crafting vibrant, custom-tailored content for a variety of social networks

In my work with a wide range of branded social media accounts, I've developed the familiarity and expertise with creating specific types of content that thrive on platforms like Instagram, Snapchat, Twitter and Facebook. I have a knack for designing robust audio and visuals that stand out in a user's oversaturated feed. My favorite underutilized platform is Snapchat Stories, where I have experience creating a variety of programming from account takeovers to schedule of events.

Scheduling social media posts and tracking user engagement

Clients' demands for regular social media posts require excellent planning and organizational skills. My experience with tools such as Buffer, Hootsuite and Later not only make posting easier, but also allow me to follow-up on what content users are responding best to and when to tweak post times and frequency.

Planning and leading recruitment campaign

As the recruitment chair of my service-fraternity Phi Mu Delta, I organized a committee of ten members to assist in the planning of four high-profile events intended to showcase the fraternity to potential new members. I also coordinated a marketing campaign across digital and print mediums featuring brothers' stories of how the fraternity positively impacted the lives of themselves and others. The recruitment season successfully concluded with a handful of new members, more than 70 interested students eligible to join the following semester, and even president of the university Jay Lemons becoming an honorary inductee.

Using paid advertising to promote brands and drive event attendance

When promotional needs demand more than organic impressions, I have experience in using paid advertising on Facebook and Snapchat to get in front of eyeballs more quickly. The advertisements I've found most capitvating and the best value are Snapchat geofilters. In my role as Phi Mu Delta recruitment chair, I utilized short-lived geofilters to promote events happening later on in the day. This technique helped pack our events with intrigued potential new members and generated thousands of impressions on geofilters with the fraternity letters.

Directing, shooting and editing 4K video

One of my favorite projects this past semester was creating a video about a day in my life, from conceptualizing to shooting to editing in Adobe Premiere Pro and Audition. The result: a short video timed to music serving as a portfolio of my professional skills and featuring a handful of my favorite things.
